Joey Rico is a master luthier with more than three decades of experience in all aspects of electric guitar building and design, hand-carved heel-less neck‑thru construction, and boutique instrument craftsmanship. He worked at BC RICH Guitars for 17 years with his father Bernardo C. Rico, and later, after his father’s death and the sale of BC RICH, expanded his expertise at Fender in California. Joey has also studied modern advanced electric guitar design with legendary luthier, Ron Thorn. A talented professional guitarist in his own right, Joey has personally designed and built some of the world’s finest custom electric guitars and basses for some of rock’s most iconic guitar players.
